These dishes are completely handmade one at a time by one person. They are all a little bit different which adds a wonderful character and charm...

Bowl, Pasta Bowl, Deep Salad Plate, Dinner Plate and Mug in Aqua Mist

They are made from durable stoneware clay and fired to over 2200 °F. They are microwave and dishwasher safe but hand washing is always recommended. 

Dark red stoneware clay is used with the Aqua Mist glaze and a creamy white stoneware clay is used with the Dark Teal and Creamy White glazes.

Some people like things that are more uniform and straight and some like things more natural and organic. If you prefer the latter than these dishes will be perfect for you...

DIY Peacock Wedding Napkin Decorations

So one of my dearest friends is getting married and its coming up fast...
She is doing a peacock theme wedding and we need some simple table decorations (that don't cost too much money). Here is a simple DIY idea for the napkins.
Start with hand carving a rubber stamp (Etsy has some great ones, in case your not the crafty type).

First sketch out your design with a pen, marker, or pencil (it doesn't matter). Then start carving into a block of Linoleum, rubber eraser or printing block, with a Lino Cutter. You can find the supplies at any craft store. TIP: The sharper your cutter the easier it is to cut.

Now it's time for stamping...
Use a slightly damp spong to dab the acrylic paint onto the stamp and then evenly press the stamp onto the napkin. TIP: use acrylic paint instead of ink, the ink may run when it gets wet and we don't want that...

How to Make a Simple Adjustable Boho Necklace

A perfect necklace for a day at the beach...

This simple jewelry making project requires no special tools. Just your hands, a pair of scissors & your creativity...

Adjustable Beach Necklace

First you need some cord, a focal pendant and a few other beads. I am using 1mm leather cord (hemp cording works well too) and my handmade ceramic beads.
I love an "organic" look and feel, so I use natural cord and beads. Think about mixing metal, wood and ceramic beads. Try using different shapes, textures and colors.

Ceramic pendant, beads, cord & scissors is all you need. 

2.  Measure out about 36" of cording. You can make this longer or shorter depending on how long you like to wear your necklace. Just make sure you have enough room to fit your head through.

3. Find the middle of the cord. Fold the cord in half & match up the ends to make it even on each side. 

4. Loop the middle of the cord through the pendant and pull the ends through the loop.

5. Pull the loop tight.

6. String you beads onto the cord in any arrangement you like.

7. Check to see if you like the arrangement of your beads.

8. Take one end of the cord & tie a simple slip knot onto the other side of the cording.

9. Tie another slip knot with the other end to the other side of the cord. Make sure each knot is tight & trim off any excess ends. 

It will look like this when you are done.

To adjust your necklace just gently pull outwards with the slip knots.

Now you are ready for the beach!
